Greetings, Fairgoers!

As we gear up for another exciting season at the Stephenson County Fair, I’m thrilled to share some behind-the-scenes highlights from our preparations.

Our Fairbooks are hot off the press and will soon be making their way to 315 households in the area. A big thank you to UPS Store for their assistance in this process! Our Fairbook ad sales exceeded expectations, thanks to the generous support from local businesses.

Our commercial sales at the Event Hub have been booming, with enthusiastic interest from various vendors. We’re also exploring new avenues for community outreach, including partnerships with local organizations.

A special thank you to Sharon at the Historical Society for lending us a captivating History of Agriculture display. Stay tuned for its unveiling in mid-May! My recent attendance at the IAFE Summit provided valuable insights and inspiration. I’m eager to implement what I’ve learned to enhance our fair experience.

We’ve made exciting updates to our Daily Guide, inspired by the creativity of other fairs. Your feedback on the new design has been invaluable as we prepare for print. We’re thrilled to welcome new sponsors onboard, enhancing our ability to create a memorable fair experience.

We’re actively pursuing grant opportunities to further enhance our offerings and community engagement. Additionally, our campground is now listed on Google, providing more accessibility to visitors.

Keep an eye out for our custom 2024 cups, available for purchase at food vendors throughout the fairgrounds. May promises to be a busy month, with a variety of events scheduled at our fairgrounds.

With our preparations well underway, my focus for April and beyond is on securing commitments from sponsors and vendors. I aim to solidify these partnerships by our May meeting.

As always, your support and enthusiasm fuel our efforts to make the Stephenson County Fair an unforgettable experience for all. Stay tuned for more updates as we countdown to the main event!
