Stephenson County Fair Update: Exciting Plans in the Works!
The Stephenson County Fair is less than 90 days away and we can’t wait to share all the exciting plans we’ve been working on! Our Executive Manager has been hard at work, meeting with sponsors, finalizing fair book details, and putting together an amazing lineup of events for fairgoers of all ages.
We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve secured several new sponsors this month, including Freeport Ford, Citizen State Bank, and Kolb-Lena. Thanks to their generous support, we’ll be able to offer even more exciting activities and attractions at the fair this year.
Speaking of attractions, our welding competition is shaping up to be one of the highlights of the fair. Monroe Truck has generously offered to sponsor the competition with a $3,000 prize and will also create the rules and judge the weld test. We’ve secured several engine-driven welding units, and we can’t wait to see the contestants show off their skills on the fairgrounds. If you’re an art lover, be sure to join us for the competition, as we’re currently seeking judges for the art portion of the competition.
We’ve also been busy finalizing the fair book and we’re pleased to announce that it’s now available at the Farm Bureau and Citizen State Bank. Exhibitors and superintendents will receive one per household, so be sure to stop by and pick up your copy to get all the details on this year’s events.
We’re always looking for ways to support the local community, and this year, we’re excited to welcome Twice as Nice as a vendor in our Shop Local tent. They’ll be occupying the tent from Tuesday-Thursday and will shrink their booth on Friday and Saturday to make room for six more vendors.
